“Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her”. (Proverbs 4:8).
The scripture says, exalt her, in other words, it says Cherish her, and she will exalt you; embrace her, and she will honour you. What is this scripture talking about? To understand this better, the preceding verse says, Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore, get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. (Proverbs 4:7). So, it’s talking about wisdom.
It says wisdom is the principal thing. In other words, Wisdom is the most important thing. It didn’t say money is the principal thing, it didn’t say making friends is the principal thing, it didn’t say seeking recognition is the principal thing, NO, when you have wisdom and understanding all other necessary things will follow.
Don’t seek the wrong things in life. Go after wisdom and understanding first.
Wisdom is the principal thing and with all your getting, get understanding. Give attention to understanding. Give attention to true wisdom which is the word of God. It will make you what it talks about.
